Queen palm tree is a medium-sized palm tree for USDA zones 9 and higher. It is an elegant palm tree relatively resembling the Coconut palm. Only it grows to a maximim height of 50-60 feet. Queen palm is a tropical palm with a slender smooth grey trunk and a large canopy of gorgeous feather, gracefully arching lacy bright-green leaves. Queen palm produces impressice infloresences during the summer season. Flowers are ivory color and fruits can be used to make jelly.
Queen palm is a popular landscape plam throughout Florida and California. This palm looks attractive as a single specimen or in groupings.
